Year-in-Review: moments that made us grow in 2022
Wow! It was another extremely busy year of great works! Our thoughts turn with thanks to all our clients who made 2022 so memorable. It’s good to poke your head out of the busy 2023 whirlwind of business and see what has made you grow and improve through last year.
Yes, we are all about doing our best to boost your confidence, productivity and results through accurate service and tailored support every day but here some moments and projects that really made us grow!
35 YEARS IN BUSINESS
We realised that we’ve been in the industry for 35 years!
The big adventure began in 1987 when Mike (the founder of the company) along with his dad John, opened a workshop in their humble kiwi cottage in Whangarei. Now, 35 year later, after 4 building shifts, three floods and a fire (literally) we’re still here and thriving! That’s something worth celebrating!
NEW WEBSITE THAT ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS
Although our team love answering your calls and online questions, we realise that a lot of you enjoy looking things up and getting an understanding yourself. So, over the last 12 months, our technical team supported by our digital marketing team, spent hours upon hours downloading years of knowledge from out of their heads and into our new technical hub.
Check it out! Now you can calculate the correct feeds & speeds, find and select the best tool for your job in a few seconds, find out the answers to many, many cutting tool questions and explore our knowledge base to further improve and optimise your operation.
But it’s not finished yet so watch this space! But with a sweaty brow and after sleepless nights we feel its really and honestly worth cracking the champagne open for!
LONG TERM GROWTH IN NEW AREAS AND INDUSTRIES
In July, Steve (our technical sales leader) headed to the South and opened our new office in Christchurch. This means that we are now closer to our clients in South Island, enhancing our service and support to them and our Mainland clients are loving it!
With accuracy and customer service in mind we recruited another 2 new team members in 2022 (there’s another coming) to help provide the back up and support we’re renowned for and love providing!
Huge growth in our sharpening and manufacturing division with its new machinery and increased capacity has meant that every industrial cutting tool can be serviced in-house, including large Pulveriser discs for the plastics recycling industry. Click HERE for more info.
WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SUPPORT CHARITIES
It's chuffing when you’re able to support those in need! Care for others is at once both priceless and costly; it’s an essential virtue that we hold dear to our hearts here and in 2022 we’ve been able to donate over $30,000 to charities supporting education, those affected by floods in Marlborough, providing under-privileged children with their basic needs and help to make sure that every family going through childhood cancer in New Zealand has someone there to support them at a time when they need it most.
Bring it on 2023! 😃
